Also the music library is messy, as everything is considered an "album" (albums, singles, EP, compilations), and it isn't even organized by date. The desktop app is missing some features of the mobile apps, such as music videos, and as a whole their apps could be better. That being said, all isn't perfect with Amazon Music. With Spotify, at some point, I felt like I was suck on listening to the same style and songs. While it isn't as good as Spotify at finding the exact same style, Amazon Music tends to better open my horizons by showing me artists that fits my liking but are yet different from what I usually listen to. I know that I'm in the minority here, as it's usually the other way around, but I prefer the way Amazon Music handles the discovery of new songs and artists. HD/lossless is to music what 4k is to video, it's hard to go back to lower quality once you got used to it.įinally, I love the music discovery of Amazon Music. And with a quality headset, oh boy that's a whole new world with some songs. I can feel the difference in audio quality, even on my Sony soundbar. Then as said previously, the audio quality. That's an amazing deal, especially when compared to other lossless plans such as Qobuz that are way more expensive. When paying yearly (199€), I get lossless quality for the whole family at almost the same price than the standard Spotify Family plan. What sold me on Amazon Music HD Family is, mostly, the price.

After trying out a few, I settled on Amazonc Music. That being said, there are many other great music streaming services out there, each with their unique set of features, which will suit some users better. I've been using Spotify for many years, and to be honest it is an excellent music streaming that kept me happy for a long while.
